Purpose of the Role:
As a BBQ Volunteer for World Homeless Day, you will play a crucial role in the smooth running of the event by assisting with the set up and tear down of the BBQ area, event spaces, and exhibits. Your contributions will ensure that the event is welcoming, safe, and organized for all participants and attendees.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the unloading, assembly, and setup of BBQ equipment, food stations, tables, chairs, and exhibits.

Help position signage, banners, and other event materials in designated areas.


Set up exhibit booths or activity stations as directed by the event coordinator.

Ensure all materials are arranged according to event safety and accessibility guidelines.

Provide general assistance to other volunteers or vendors during the event setup.


Assist with the tear down and proper packing of BBQ equipment, food stations, tables, and chairs after the event.


Safely dismantle exhibit booths and pack away materials.


Ensure that the event space is clean, organized, and all items are stored away properly.


Follow instructions from event coordinators and collaborate with other volunteers to complete tasks efficiently.


Qualifications:


No specific experience required, but previous event setup or teardown experience is an asset.
Physically able to lift and carry equipment or supplies (up to 25-30 lbs).
Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in various weather conditions.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to follow directions and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Positive, can-do attitude, and willingness to help where needed.

Additional Notes:

Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and shoes suitable for physical tasks.
Closed-toe shoes are mandatory for safety.
Volunteers will be provided with breaks and refreshments throughout the event
