The United Way 50:50 draw volunteer will be using a point of sale (POS) system which is straightforward and user-friendly setup to facilitate ticket sales. Equipment and Tools
POS Software/Card Reader: The volunteer will use a POS system software/card reader, which is pre-programmed to sell tickets for the 50:50 draw. This allows the volunteer to quickly input ticket quantities, process payments, and print receipts. This easy to use machine will be accepting debit and credit card payments, ensuring smooth and secure transactions.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Customer Interaction: The volunteer would greet event attendees, explain the 50:50 draw rules, and offer to sell tickets in different quantities (e.g., single tickets or bulk packages).
Selling Tickets: Using the POS /card reader system, the volunteer would input the ticket quantity selected by the customer, take payment via debit or credit card and then either hand over the printed tickets or generate digital tickets on the system used.
Answering Questions: The volunteer would also be responsible for answering any customer questions about the draw, such as how and when the winner will be announced.
